Welcome to my blog. I am so excited to be posting my first blog.
Online marketing is the hottest rage these days. If you have an online business you need to be on the networking sites such as Facebook, My Space, Twitter, Biznik, Linkedin etc.
By networking online you meet many great people networkers that want to share ideas, provide free tips and information. It’s like getting free business consultations. You learn something new every time you network. The biggest mistake many people make when they start networking is Advertising and spamming new friends and the groups. For starters that turns away business.
Sending people that you don’t’ know a little advertisement in a personal message is a big no no for facebook. They disable your user name and you are not able to use it anymore. You will not be able to re activate your account and you will lose all your contacts including all your non business related friends. You will have to start all over again!
Another important piece of advice when joining groups is do not start advertising your business off the bat. Build an online presence on the groups by posting messages and giving free advice etc. So to lump it in a nut shell you need to network first business later.
What I do suggest is when you post a message or send private message etc leave your website address and business info in your signature. You are not asking anyone them to visit your site but if they are interested to visit they will do it on their own. I wouldn’t overdo it though. Just your name, your business name and web address. It is not necessary to leave your telephone number or email since they can get it from your website or they can send you a private message.
Well I hope this helped and if you need further clarification or help on networking send me an email or call me and I would be more than happy to help you with it. I love to network and would love to help business owners prosper there business in the right direction.
